One way to catch a bus: YouTube hit for freerunning men in suits

If running 20 yards to catch a bus leaves you red-faced and out of breath, then look away now.

A group of men in suits spring from a bus queue to the surprise of commuters, run across a busy road to a London bus, and perform a series of flips using the vehicle's side as a springboard.

Elsewhere, they perform somersaults and do handstands on top of a bus shelter.

The amazing display of parkour  -  a French term for crossing obstacles as quickly as possible, using only your own strength  -  is attracting huge numbers of hits on YouTube.

Part of a one-minute video shot around Waterloo by Nissan to promote a new model, it also shows a bicycle rider skidding through a station and people swinging on building site scaffolding.

Handstand: The video is attracting a huge number of hits on YouTube

Bosses at TfL are not impressed. A spokesman said: "Safety of bus passengers and road users is paramount. This may look harmless fun, but has the potential to be dangerous."

Nissan said it had permits for filming, adding: "These stunts were carried out by professionals, and at no point were the public in danger. We had health and safety staff in attendance."

Naturally, our advice to the average, less athletic Londoner is: don't try this on the No 42 to Liverpool Street.
