Parasailing widow in compensation fight

THE widow of a father who plummeted 150ft to his death while parasailing today said she would fight for compensation from the company who arranged the activity.

Linda Hudson, 51, is planning to launch legal action after her husband Glenn's safety harness snapped as he was being towed with his daughter Emma, 25, behind a boat on holiday in Turkey at the weekend.

The company which organised the £40 parasail in the resort of Side has stopped trading and its operators were arrested.

Mrs Hudson said: "I really want to hurt the people who have done this to us. My worry is these people will get out in two or three years' time and start back up again. If I hurt them in the pocket, they won't be able to do it and they won't be able to do this to someone else."

The family's Turkish lawyer claims the harness was sun-damaged and unsafe.

Mrs Hudson added: "What drives me on is knowing Glenn would say 'someone else will die if nothing is done, don't let that happen'."
