Megan Burgess: Buried in the rubble of the collapsed wall
A girl of three was killed when a large garden wall toppled over onto her in a 'million to one' freak accident.
Megan Burgess had been out for a walk on a footpath with her mother Lindsay, 28, in the warm sunshine.
But as they passed a six foot high breeze-block wall it wobbled and then toppled over onto the child.
She was freed from the rubble and rushed to hospital but later died from her injuries.
Last night her parents Peter, 27, and Lindsay Burgess described the accident as a 'horrible tragedy'. Writing to the MailOnline, Mrs Burgess, a photographer, said it was 'a horrible tragedy, a beautiful child. Incredibly cherished and very loved. She was so special, those that know her, know why.'

The incident happened at around 11.30am on Saturday morning as the little girl was walking with her mother on a footpath around 100 yards from their house in Prestatyn, North Wales.
The breeze-block wall was on land adjoining a house which is being renovated.
But as they walked close to it the wall rocked and then collapsed in a heap of rubble.
Behind the wall was a bank of soil and investigators were yesterday examining a theory that a digger bucket, being used to move the soil, may have nudged the wall accidentally.
Collapse: North Wales Police start their investigations at the scene
A neighbour of the couple said : 'They were working on the wall some days ago and there have been diggers at the site. Behind the wall the bank is steep and soil is being shifted.'
A man who lives close to the scene said: 'I heard some dreadful screaming then there was an ambulance and people were gathering round.'
Another resident said: 'It is absolutely heartbreaking and it must have been a million to one chance that the wall would come down just as the little girl was walking past.
'Apparently the little girl was enjoying a walk in the sunshine with her mother and was happily skipping along when this wall just collapsed without any warning whatsoever.
'It is very shocking and I hope that whoever put up this wall is hauled before the authorities.
'While they won't have intentionally caused the death their negligence has robbed a little girl of her life and a family of their daughter. We really feel for them.'
Flowers and teddy bears have been laid at the roadside in tribute to the young girl.
Her distraught parents have visited the scene where Mrs Burgess said Megan was 'the most perfect daughter in the world.'
Police have launched an inquiry into the accident in conjunction with health and safety officers.
Builders who were working on the site have already been questioned about a breeze-block wall which collapsed.
The couple, married nearly five years ago, also have a baby son called Wilson.
On a website Mrs Burgess says : 'I now work as self employed photographer. Live in North Wales in a little cottage with my hubby and two little children Meg and Wilson.'
Residents living close to the couple said they were shocked and saddened by the tragic death.
