Police have found the final missing body part of a British teenage girl who was stabbed to death and brutally dismembered in Brazil.
The right leg of 17-year-old Cara Marie Burke was found by police around midday yesterday in a river just outside the city of Goiania.
Jose Maria de Silva, chief of police, said: "We found the right leg in the river at around 12pm.
"We confirmed that it was from the body of Cara Marie Burke using fingerprints taken from the other parts we have found.
Tragic: Cara Marie Burke with Mohamed D'Ali Carvalho Santos, the man accused of her grisly murder
"We have now found the whole body."
Miss Burke's torso was found stuffed in a suitcase and dumped on a riverbank in Goiania last Monday.
Her forearms, left leg and head were found on Monday.
Mohamed D'Ali Carvalho Santos, 20, has been charged with her murder after he confessed to her killing.
Police believe he killed Miss Burke, who arrived in Brazil three months ago, after she threatened to tell his parents he was a cocaine-addicted drug dealer.
He told reporters an argument started after Miss Burke threw a plate of cocaine on the floor.
Police said after the murder he went out to a funk concert before returning to cut up the body.
Santos is also said to have photographed Miss Burke's severed head after he allegedly placed it on top of her torso along with a bloody butcher's knife.
He allegedly used the mobile phone to send a text message to his brother, Bruce Lee, saying: "The bitch is in the bag."
Mr da Silva said that Santos' brother, who lives in London, will fly to Brazil on Sunday to talk to police.
