POLICE have named a man who was murdered less than 200 yards from Tony Blair's London home.

Tunisian national Atef Jablaoui, 22, died after he was attacked by a group of men on Kendal Street off Edgware Road, around the corner from Connaught Square where the former prime minister lives under 24-hour armed guard.

Mr Jablaoui, who was living in Harrow, is believed to have hit his head on the kerb after he was punched outside a block of flats at around midnight on 6 March.

Paramedics rushed him to Charing Cross hospital where he died three days later. His family, who live overseas, have been informed.

A worker at Lellers car wash on Kendal Street, yards from the fight scene. said the assailants "were all young guys around 18 or 19".

"They've probably fled the country now," he added.
