Porsche's web drive against Mayor

Porsche has launched a website to gain support for its legal challenge to Ken Livingstone's "unjust" £25-a day congestion charge proposals.

The German car manufacturer has organised a petition which it plans to give to the Mayor.

The company's models face being hit hard by the introduction of the increased levy for gasguzzling cars. Now a website has been set up at porschejudicialreview.co.uk to highlight Porsche's objections and urge visitors to pledge their support.

It reads: "We know that huge numbers of people in London and across the rest of the country support our case. They agree with us that it would be bad for London - that it is unfair and sends the wrong message about what sort of a city London is whilst having no meaningful benefit on the environment."

Porsche says it will take the matter to judicial review if the planned £25 toll was not dropped.
