Prince Harry: I'm bullied for being ginger
11 July 2007
Maxine Broadfoot met the Prince at the Concert for Diana in memory of his mother.
Fourteen-year-old Maxine told Harry she had won the Diana award for counselling.
"He asked if he could come and get some counselling because he gets bullied for being ginger," she said.
Harry's army pals have reportedly nicknamed him Ginger Bullet Magnet
"I didn't know what to say and I just laughed."
Maxine's father Rob said: "When she said she did counselling Harry said maybe he should come to her because he gets bullied about his red hair.
"When they all laughed he said 'no, I do seriously'.
"They were only having a joke about it but his army buddies must give him a ribbing for it."

Girlfriend Chelsy Davy has nicknamed the young royal 'Big Ginger'
Harry's army pals have reportedly nicknamed him "Ginger Bullet Magnet" and are thought to have bought ginger wigs to wear in Iraq, joking that it would stop insurgents from easily identifying the prince, The Sun newspaper said.
In a US TV Interview last month Harry revealed that his mother had called him Ginger throughout his childhood.
And girlfriend Chelsy Davy refers to the young royal as "Big Ginger".

Charlotte Rushton, a fellow redhead who has written a book about her experiences, said "I'm not surprised to learn this could be happening to him because I photographed 300 red heads and only two of them said they had not been maliciously teased by people.
"But some people have been humiliated to the point that they dye their hair blonde to cover it up.
"There's such a negative stigma attached to it.
