Radio 4's classic comedy I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue cancelled after presenter Humphrey Lyttelton, 86, is admitted to hospital
22 April 2008
Lyttelton, 86, who has hosted the "self-styled antidote to panel games" since 1972, is undergoing an operation to repair an aortic aneurysm (a swelling in the heart).

Best known as a musician, Lyttelton began playing the trumpet in 1936 and still tours with his band.
In 1956, Lyttelton's Bad Penny Blues was the first British jazz record to enter the top 20.
The former officer in the Grenadier Guards recently retired from BBC Radio 2's
The Best of Jazz, to "clear a space for some of my other ambitions" after more than 40 years presenting the show.
Naismith wrote to fans: "I was expecting to announce the venues and dates of recordings in the spring series of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, but unfortunately I've had to put these plans on hold as Humphrey Lyttelton has been detained in hospital for an operation to repair an aortic aneurysm.
"We are unclear precisely how long Humph's recovery period will be, but it seems very likely that the spring series of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue will have to be postponed.
"Humph is otherwise fine and in very good spirits."
