Red-faced Cameron axes 'sexiest MP' debate from his website

The Tories have apologised for posting an online forum on David Cameron's website which discussed the 'sexiest female MP'.

Mr Cameron's website, www.webcameron.org.uk has a facility for setting up discussion forums designed to allow online visitors to talk about current issues

Comments on the forum include: "Are politicians really all just people who were too ugly to be actors or are there any hotties in the house?" from someone calling himself 'Flashman'.

Another comment said: "There's not a great choice but I don't reckon I'd have kicked a 15 years younger Caroline Flint out of bed," from 'MattFeisty'.

Mr Feisty also posts a picture of Caroline Flint MP with the picture caption "although here she looks minging!"

"At least she doesn't look like Ruth Kelly," says another post.

Public Health minister Caroline Flint said: "This is such puerile nonsense from members of the Tory party."

"It just shows how far they still have to go. I think websites and forums are a welcome part of political engagment, but someone needs to take responsibility for them when they get out of control."

David Cameron's official spokesman said: "Well I don't know, it's a forum, isn't it?".

But ten minutes later the forum and its unreconstructed comments were hastily wiped off the website.
