The singer plans to take a break to 'regroup' when his Escapology tour ends in Australia next month.
'I'm schizophrenic,' he said. 'There was one night on tour when I thought I never wanted to play again but then, another night, I wanted to put three more tours in.'
The 29-year-old was speaking in London last night at the premiere of his new DVD, What We Did Last Summer, filmed during his recordbreaking Knebworth concerts.
He said: 'I wanted to prove I was the best. I've competed all year so I need to go away and regroup before I can compete again.'
Williams, who has battled drink and drugs, said he once thought he would die before his 30th birthday, which he celebrates in February.
