Robinson: Spurs can make you a winner Berbatov

Paul Robinson today told Dimitar Berbatov he doesn't need to leave Tottenham to fulfil his ambitions because they are a big club and can win trophies this season.

Berbatov's agent Emil Dantchev claims the Bulgarian is looking to quit the club because he is worried he won't win any silverware with them. He also says the 26-year-old wants to join a 'big club'.

But Robinson believes his team-mate doesn't need to go anywhere else to get a winners' medal, with the club in the Carling Cup semi-finals and in the knock-out stages of the UEFA Cup.

He said: "His agent is talking about Dimitar going to a big club, but Tottenham are a big club.

"Hopefully we will be in the Carling Cup final and the manager can build on our recent results so we can climb the table.

"If we want to go places we have to keep players like Berbatov."

Ramos is adamant Berbatov, who shook off a leg injury to play in the 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa last night, is not for sale.

He said: "His agent is looking to do business but we are happy because we have the player on a contract and we plan to keep him."
