Robinson still England's best man, says Jol

The Liverpool fans mockingly chanted 'England, England No1' after the goalkeeper spilled Steven Gerrard's free-kick, allowing Andriy Voronin to score the opening goal from a rebound in yesterday's 2-2 draw at Anfield.
Former England striker Alan Shearer said Robinson looked 'shaky' but Spurs boss Jol was quick to defend his keeper, whose place against Estonia is under pressure following a string of errors.
"I am not concerned with him [Robinson]," said Jol, whose side held a 2-1 lead through Robbie Keane's double strike until the 92nd minute. "The first goal was not his fault. The free-kick deflected off the knee of Jermaine Jenas. The keeper did not lose the ball.
"Goalkeepers are like strikers, every game is different. Robbie Keane scored and he is a hero. When Paul Robinson makes good saves, he will be back and other games will be forgotten."
Shearer, despite his misgivings, expects Steve McClaren to persevere with Robinson for the Euro 2008 qualifier at Wembley.
" Paul looked shaky against Liverpool," said the former England skipper. "He is having a poor time but I think he [McClaren] will stick with him."
Spurs climbed out of the relegation zone on goal difference with their draw but were denied victory by Fernando Torres's late strike.
It was a harsh blow for Spurs, who led thanks to two classy strikes from Spurs skipper Keane. He produced classy finishes right at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second, both created by flick-ons from strike partner Dimitar Berbatov.
Despite throwing victory away at the death, Keane saw reasons for optimism after this result. He said: "The lads deserve a lot of credit. We are obviously disappointed that we conceded in the last minute but we will gain a lot of confidence in this.
"You can feel the spark back in the side and we showed that in this game. It is only a matter of time before we get some league wins.
"We have a very good squad, even if the table does not suggest that. We haven't won many games but we haven't lost that many either. We can gain confidence from that."
One thing Keane is not happy with, though, is having to deal with speculation about Jol's future. The skipper said: "People keep asking about the manager. I am sick of talking about it. I don't want to get into it again because every second question is about it."
Chairman Daniel Levy indicated there would be no repeat of the shenanigans during the last international break when Spurs officials went to Seville to meet with their manager, Juande Ramos.
He added: "There is nothing to discuss with Martin - everything is fine."
