Son discovers stabbed bodies of his parents

THE bodies of a couple stabbed to death at their south London home were discovered by their son, friends revealed today.

The 53-year-old man - known locally as Grigori and described by neighbours as "an absolute gentleman" - and his 47-year-old wife were found dead shortly before 1am yesterday.

Their bodies were discovered at the flat in Wandsworth Road, Vauxhall, where they had lived for four years.

A spokesman for the Met said police were keeping an "open mind" as to the motive for the deaths.

One theory being investigated is that the husband - believed to have been out of work for some time - became depressed and stabbed his wife before turning the knife on himself.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 020 7321 9251 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
