Special offer at the supermarket ... extra lessons for children

The in-store "school" at Sainsbury's in Hampton offers private tutoring twice a week for 90 minutes with A-level students and undergraduates.
It has 320 children aged five to 14 on its books, and is a partnership between Sainsbury's and Explore Learning, founded by Cambridge graduate Bill Mills in 2000. There are 18 similar centres around the country, including one in Merton. They are based on a scheme in America and charge £90 a month for the tutoring.
Heather Garrick of Explore Learning said: "It's convenient for parents. They don't have to sit around waiting and don't have to book in advance or come on the same night. There's also free parking."
Parents can use childcare vouchers or tax credits to pay for lessons. Paul Winder, 48, and his wife Meera have been sending their nine-year-old son Rohan to the Hampton tutors for two years.
Mr Winder, a landscape gardener of East Molesey, said: "We were keen because although there are good primary schools here, the options at secondary level are more limited and we wanted to give him the best chance of success in the Tiffin and Kingston Grammar entrance exams. He is more than a school year ahead of himself."
