St Paul's fly-past and tank show in aid of war heroes

Thousands of people are expected to gather around St Paul's Cathedral tomorrow for City Salute, an appeal to raise money for injured servicemen and women.
Princes William and Harry will watch as tanks from the Household Cavalry, with which Harry recently served in Afghanistan, roll down Ludgate Hill. Cavalry and troops will file in from Temple Bar as Chinooks mount an aerial display.
Four big screens will show the action to those gathered at Paternoster Square and along St Paul's Church Yard Road.
Two short films featuring servicemen and women talking about the need to properly fund medical facilities and accommodation for troops will be shown.
One of those interviewed is Marine Mark Ormrod, who trained with Harry and was reunited with him when the young royals visited Headley Court rehabilitation centre in Surrey last month.
Images of soldiers in action in Afghanistan and Bosnia will be projected on to the front of the cathedral as it is flooded with Union flag colours in a son et lumière display.
Several roads around the cathedral will be closed during the two-hour event, which begins at 8pm, and organisers recommend travellers check with Transport for London for bus diversions.
Many City firms are supporting the appeal.
