The two-up, two-down seaside semi that's going for £1million

Buyers wanting homes with seaside views are splashing out millions on coastal locations, estate agents have revealed.

Demand for shoreline properties is fuelling prices to surge, with some waterside houses commanding up to £5 million.

Such is their popularity, a two-bedroom semi with views across a golden beach, is now on the market for £1 million.

The sale is part of a multi-million-pound bonanza going on for homes in the West Country.

Life's a beach: There is a private entrance on to the sands from the property

A balcony overlooks Porthmeor beach and has its own private entrance on to the sands.

The two-bedroom house has a 13-foot-wide balcony with stunning views over St Ives Bay.

Estate agents Lillicrap Chilcott says: "Set directly beside the golden sands of Porthmeor beach, an absolutely remarkable, rare and very special opportunity to acquire a spectacularly located two-bedroomed beachside house.

"Commanding awesome, totally unobstructed front lien views over the beach, sea and surrounding coastline - utterly mesmerising.

"Rare assets include separate undercover parking and large garage with direct access on to the beach - a very rare combination in such a hugely coveted location close to the centre of this harbourside town."
