Three arrested over Hell's Angel motorway murder
22 August 2007
Police hunting the killer of Hell's Angel biker Gerry Tobin have removed a green Rover from a Coventry street.
The biker was gunned down on August 12 as he rode home from the Bulldog Bash bikers' festival - and officers believe the shots were fired from a dark green Rover 620 car seen passing Mr Tobin at around the time of the incident.
A car matching that description was loaded onto a transporter lorry and taken away for forensic tests just hours after three men were arrested in Nuneaton and Coventry in connection with the attack.
Armed officers from Warwickshire Police and West Midlands Police raided two addresses in Coventry and one property in Nuneaton in the early hours of this morning.
The men are now being questioned by detectives at the police station in Warwickshire after Mr Tobin was gunned down as he rode home from the bikers festival near Stratford.

Assistant Chief Constable Bill Holland said: "The investigation is active and ongoing. The public response to appeals for witnesses has been excellent with the incident room receiving around 600 calls and emails from people with information."
Police did not reveal any more details of the men who have been arrested.

Searches are continuing at the properties which were raided, and police said further addresses may be searched in the coming days.
The shooting caused chaos on the M40
Earlier this week, detectives said they were concerned that Mr Tobin's murder could spark a violent feud among biker gangs.
Mr Tobin, who lived in south London, but was originally from Canada, was a member of the Hell's Angels motorcycle club, and police believe he may have been targeted by a member of a rival gang.
The 35-year-old was killed with a single shot to the back of the head fired from a handgun while a second shot fired at the biker struck his motorcycle.
