A top snooker player has married his aunt.
Ryan Day, ranked number eight in the world, tied the knot with his 32-year-old aunt by marriage, Lynsey.
She is the younger sister of his father's second wife, Paula, and met the 28-year-old snooker ace when he was just a teenager.
The couple exchanged vows in Pontycymer, Bridgend, South Wales, and are now on honeymoon in Crete with their child.
Snooker star Ryan Day has married his aunt Lynsey
The new Mrs Day said: 'Some people like to keep family at arm's length, but we're all very close - obviously.
'Poor Ryan got a bit of stick from the lads at first, but he can cope with it.
'I know some will see it as a source of amusement that he's married his auntie, as it were. But I can see the funny side.
'When he went on his stag weekend to Malaga the guys all wore T-shirts printed with a saucy slogan about us.
'What can you do but laugh? We're all used to it now and we have a fantastic family life together.'
The Welsh Assembly commercial manager told The Sun newspaper: 'It seems incredible now to remember first meeting Ryan when he was a grumpy teenage boy.
'He was always a nice lad underneath it, though.
'Who'd have thought then that this shy, awkward, moody teenager would become the greatest love of my life?
'I didn't realise it then, but meeting Ryan was the best thing that's ever happened to me. I love him to pieces.'
