Tweedy's Aloud back on stage

Girls Aloud star Cheryl Tweedy was back on stage only days after being convicted of assaulting a nightclub worker. The singer, 20, was found guilty last week of punching a lavatory attendant in the face at a nightclub in Guildford.
She was sentenced to 120 hours' community service after judge Richard Haworth said she was guilty of an "unpleasant piece of drunken violence".
Tweedy appeared strained during her trial and, dressed in a sober suit, was hardly recognisable as the charttopping star.
Last night she was all smiles once more as she performed at the National Music Awards at the Carling Hammersmith Apollo.
However, the violent incident appears to have affected the standing of the group, who went home from the awards empty-handed.
They now have an anxious wait until 19 November to see how the guilty verdict affects the chart placing of their new single, Jump (For My Love).
Girls Aloud were formed after winning the Popstars TV show and had a number one hit with their debut single, Sound of the Underground.
However, the best band or group prize last night went to Coldplay and rivals the Cheeky Girls, who also shot to fame after appearing on the talent show, won the best novelty award for The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum). The duo, Monica and Gabriela Irimia, wore dresses slashed at the front.
Former S Club star Rachel Stevens was named favourite female singer, Pop Idol's Will Young picked up an award for favourite album, and Gareth Gates walked away with gongs for favourite TV performance and male singer.
Shirley Bassey won a lifetime achievement award, while Kylie Minogue was favourite international artist.
