An unborn baby has been saved by surgeons after his mother was crushed by a bus.
The traffic warden, who was seven months' pregnant, was hit by the vehicle in New York.
Donnette Sanz, 33, was crossing the road when the brakes on an approaching van failed and it pushed her into the path of the school bus.

A band of passers-by helped to heave the vehicle off her, and she was taken to hospital by ambulance.
But although the expectant mother survived the emergency caesarean, she died about two hours later.
The baby is expected to live. Mrs Sanz's sister Beverly said she and her husband have already named the baby Sean Michael.
The van's driver, Walter Walker, 72, is being held on charges including criminally negligent homicide and driving without a licence.
New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg said: 'It is a terrible poignancy that Donnette's son's birthday will now coincide with the day his mother died.'
