Rosimeiri Boxall, 19, jumped from a third-floor kitchen window after being set upon by two girls in a row over a boy, the jury was told.
Thirty minutes earlier she had been filmed on a neighbour's mobile phone being attacked by the two girls, who had been drinking vodka.
Having seen the footage, the witness's mother hammered on the upstairs flat door and heard screaming coming from inside.
When the mother went in, the 13-yearold said: "F***ing hell she has escaped, she has f***ing jumped." The body of Rosimeiri — known as Rosie — was found on the ground outside the kitchen window of the building in Blackheath.
Roger Smart, prosecuting, said: "Rosie was clearly in fear of being hurt physically which led to her leaping out of the window. Rosie's fear of being hurt there and then was caused by the defendants' conduct."
The 13-year-old is now 15 and the second girl, Oluwakemi Ajose, of Charlton, who was then 17 and is now 19, have both pleaded not guilty to manslaughter in May last year.
The victim's parents, the Rev Simon Boxall, vicar of the Open Gateway community Church in Thamesmead, and his wife, Rachel, were in court for the opening day of the trial.
Mr Smart told the jury the couple had adopted Brazilian-born Rosie and brought her to Britain in January 2005.
Ajose lived at the house where Rosie died. It was owned by Greenwich social services and had been converted into separate flats.
"Rosie had been with both defendants and it appears there was friction between them over a boy," said Mr Smart. Rosie was assaulted on a number of occasions inside the flat and in the stairwell of the building.
"One of the assaults was filmed ... it is apparent from the footage that Rosie made no attempt to defend herself.
"The neighbour's mother was the only adult in the building at the time and having been shown the clip decided to go upstairs to check on Rosie.
"The 13-year-old and Oluwakemi, known as Kemi, came out of the flat on to the stairs. The younger girl was screaming, Don't go in there, you are not allowed in there.'"
The case continues.
