Vodafone husband charged

The husband of a Vodafone executive found dead in her home has been charged with murder.

Alisdair Sinclair was arrested after his wife Sally was found at the £1 million rented home they shared with their two young sons.

Neighbours expressed shock after police found her body in a pool of blood. They described the couple as very private.

It is thought Mr Sinclair, 47, looked after their boys while his wife was at work. Mrs Sinclair, 40, joined the telecommunications company in 1994 and was the company's head of business analysis. Her husband was reported to have sold second-hand cars from the house.

A post mortem revealed she sustained stab wounds to her upper body during an attack at the house in Amport, Hampshire.

Mrs Sinclair's mother, Nicolette Alford, said her only child was a "wonderful" daughter who had worked tirelessly for her children.
