BlackBerry owners will soon be able to watch British television channels across the world.
The technology will allow users to tune into their home TV via the portable email device anywhere there is a broadband internet link.
They will be able to channel surf at the beach, cheer on their football team while waiting at the bus stop or watch a film at the airport.

The system - nicknamed "free-range TV" - has been developed by U.S. company Sling Media, and is now being rolled out in the UK.
The few who own smart phones such as the Nokia 95 already have access to the technology through the 3 telephone service.
But visitors to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas were told yesterday that the system is now being extended to run on BlackBerry handsets.
Hundreds of thousands of Britons already own one of the portable devices for emailing and surfing the web.
Users must have a £99 "Slingbox" which is connected to their home television.
This box can beam programmes to their broadband service.
A BlackBerry, using the firm's £19.99 SlingPlayer software, can connect to this feed anywhere there is high-speed internet access.
Many hotels and public buildings across the world offer this for free.
Another product in development by a different firm would allow the TV image to be increased in size and projected on to any surface.
