Wenger: I cannot imagine managing any other team

Arsene Wenger has revealed he expects Arsenal to be his final managerial job in club football.

The Frenchman will have been for with the Gunners 15 years by the time his new contract ends in 2011, at which time he will be 61.

"I do not especially imagine managing another club at the moment," said Wenger. "That is not in my mind at all. Maybe it is my last contract, I don't know.

"I am at the stage of my career now where I do not want to be associated with anybody else. I believe I met this club at the right moment in my life. Arsenal and I had a difficult time at the start but the club were always behind me. I always felt I had the freedom to work with my ideas. That is the biggest luxury in this job.

"[The contract] is an extension of a long period and I have already forgotten that I managed some other clubs already. But in football you always have to be open-minded, live always with the future, what is in front of you and do well."

Wenger, whose Arsenal side travel to Tottenham tomorrow, was prompted into signing his new contract earlier than he might otherwise have done because he did not want uncertainty over his future to spread to the team.

"I did not want it to become a disturbance," he explained. "I don't think it will change anything on a daily basis for the team but I didn't want it to become something that could have a negative weight on the course of the season."

While Wenger's future at Arsenal is certain, Jens Lehmann's is clouded in uncertainty. The German goalkeeper will miss tomorrow's game due to an elbow injury even though he declared himself fit for last Saturday's Euro 2008 qualifier for Germany against Wales.

With Lehmann out, Manuel Almunia will keep goal for the third match in a row and Wenger said: "We will see who is No1. It is down to them. Lehmann is injured so I haven't really given it much thought over who would play."

Arsenal will be without William Gallas (groin), Emmanuel Eboue (ankle) and the suspended Philippe Senderos but welcome back Bacary Sagna. Gilberto is set to play after returning from international duty.
