Wife saw tram crash that killed her husband

Polish builder Andrzei Karcz, 28, was sent flying through the front window and into the path of both the tram and the bus.
And his wife Edyta has told how she walked past the accident in Croydon on her way to work - unaware that it had claimed her husband's life.
Speaking for the first time since Sunday's accident, Mrs Karcz said she had only moved to the UK two months ago to join her husband of three years.
She left the house an hour after her husband and was forced to change buses because of the crash in George Street.
But hours later, a police officer called at their home and delivered the tragic news to Mr Karcz's sister Justina Frankowicz.
Mrs Karcz, 27, said: "I couldn't believe it was true. I couldn't believe it could happen like that. I still think he's going to come back. I wish I had stayed at home, if I had he would not have gone to work and he would not have been killed. Andrzej wanted to finish a job on his landlord's bathroom because there was only two or three hours of work to do."
The couple had been together for nine years. Ms Frankowicz said: "We are trying to be strong but it's very hard. I was at home when I was told. It was like a bad dream. The police told me that he looked terrible. My uncle tore out his hair, he couldn't believe it."
The two women are set to return to Poland with Mr Karcz's body after friends and family have helped raise the £2,000 needed for the trip.
Police are investigating whether the bus driver, who was arrested and bailed after the crash, went through a red light.
