Appeal over missing disabled girl
18 January 2009
Neil Whitehead said he is "extremely distressed" following the disappearance of his former partner, Jude Richmond, a celebrity florist, and their daughter Millie.
The pair were last seen at their house in Station Road, South Cerney, near Cirencester, Gloucestershire, at 6.30pm on Sunday.
Police believe Mrs Richmond, 41, was vulnerable and possibly depressed.
Mr Whitehead, 54, from London, said: "I would like to say to anyone out there that, if you see two people having a good time, laughing and happy, then please look closer, be vigilant.
"They were extremely close, a good team.
"My daughter is one of the most charismatic, fun-loving, humorous, attractive girls you could hope to meet, she is almost magical.
"If they could just please contact us and let us know they are safe."
Mr Whitehead, who would see Millie two weekends a month, said he understood Mrs Richmond was having issues with her marriage but when he spoke to her the day before she went missing, she was "calm and sensible".
He added that he was worried because Millie has cerebral palsy and cannot walk long distances and yet her wheelchair and mobility aids were left at the house.
