Andrew Pelling, 48, the MP for Croydon Central, was held by police on Tuesday and released on police bail until October 1.
His wife Lucy, 26, told the Daily Mail on Friday: "The marriage is over. There is absolutely no way I am going back."
She continued: "I have spoken to my solicitor about a divorce and have been told I cannot file until we have been married for a year, but I intend to divorce Andrew as soon as I am able.
"There were a lot of issues in our relationship. Our marriage was a mistake. I really don't know if we can ever be friends in the future."
She told the newspaper she is now living with her parents, who live close to the couple's south London home.
Mr Pelling made no comment to reporters outside his home on Thursday.
He was elected to Parliament in the 2005 general election with a majority of 75 and is also a member of the London Assembly.
A Conservative Party spokesman said: "This is a police matter and it would not be right for us to comment at this stage."
