Baby P sentencing postponed

The 27-year-old mother, her 32-year-old boyfriend and lodger Jason Owen, 36, of Bromley, south London, were due to be sentenced on December 15 for causing or allowing his death.
But Old Bailey trial Judge Stephen Kramer said the sentencing had been put off for at least three months.
He said: "For legal reasons, the sentencing of the three defendants is postponed until March or April 2009."
Baby P was 17 months old when he died in a blood-splattered cot in Haringey, north London, in August last year.
He had suffered more than 50 injuries over eight months, during which he was on the Haringey Child Protection Register and despite 60 contacts with health and social workers.
The mother pleaded guilty to the charge but the two men were found guilty following a trial last month. They were all cleared of murder.
Meanwhile, Children's Secretary Ed Balls said he stood by his decision not to publish a detailed report into the mistakes made by authorities in the Baby P case.
Responding to fresh calls from opposition MPs to publish the review, Mr Balls said he will only issue the executive summary of the serious case review because to reveal the full text would jeopardise children's safety.
