Bail breach terror suspect arrested

A suspected terrorist who breached his bail and went on the run has been recaptured by police.

The 24-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested in East London, Scotland Yard said.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said he will appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court to face a single charge of breaching his bail.

The alarm was raised on Friday afternoon that the man had gone missing from his home address in East London.

He was due to face trial later this year, accused of conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause explosions.

The police spokesman said: "A 24-year-old man has been arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police for an alleged breach of bail.

"He was arrested at approximately 2.30pm today, and is currently at an East London police station where he remains in custody.

"He will appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court tomorrow charged with breach of bail."
