Beshenivsky murder: Man remanded

Mustaf Jama is alleged to have killed the 38-year-old officer, who was shot dead on November 18 2005 during a raid in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Jama, 27, was arrested in Somalia and flown back to the UK last week. He is charged with murder, robbery, two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and two charges of possessing a prohibited weapon.
Appearing via videolink in Leeds Crown Court from Wakefield Prison, Jama spoke only to confirm his name.
Dressed in a grey sweatshirt, he leaned forward and listened intently to the 15-minute hearing.
The judge, Mr Justice Wilkie, told Jama he would be remanded in custody to next appear at Leeds Crown Court on November 30.
A trial date was set for April 28 next year at the same court.
There was no application for bail.
Pc Beshenivsky's colleague, Pc Teresa Milburn, was also shot and injured in the robbery at the Universal Express travel agency in Morley Street, Bradford.
Five people have been convicted in connection with Pc Beshenivsky's murder.
