Boys charged with churchyard murder

Two teenage boys have been charged with the murder of a 44-year-old man in a churchyard, according to police.

William Wickham, of Hammond Court, South Street, Gosport, died following an assault on Monday, February 25 at Trinity Green, Gosport, Hampshire, close to the Holy Trinity Church.

The former trawler fisherman died from a blow to the back of the head, according to police.

The youths, aged 15 and 16, who cannot be named for legal reasons are due to appear before Fareham magistrates.
