Britain hit on human rights issues

It calls for a public inquiry into allegations that MI5 agents were complicit in the torture of Binyam Mohamed.
Kate Allen, UK director of Amnesty, said the British Government had a "mixed record" on human rights over the past year.
She said Amnesty was "very concerned" about allegations about UK complicity in torture and in allowing rendition flights.
Mohamed, who returned to the UK in February after four years in Guantanamo Bay, alleges British agents knew he was being tortured in Pakistan but did nothing to stop it.
Ms Allen said the investigation by the Prime Minister's Intelligence and Security Committee was "not good enough".
She said: "What we are calling for is a full and open inquiry into these allegations of complicity in torture, rendition and detention.
"The Government has to face up to what went wrong, and understand exactly what that was and make sure that will never happen again."
Amnesty is also critical of the control order regime, used to detain terror suspects who have not been convicted,
But Ms Allen praised the Government's commitment to tackling the arms trade, and its opposition to the death penalty around the world.
