Sophie Fletcher-Curran, 19, was working for holiday firm Mark Warner during a year-long placement from university.
She died on Thursday evening in the coastal town of Bastia.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said next of kin had been informed and consular assistance was being provided.
Mark Warner managing director David Hopkins said: "Everyone at Mark Warner is extremely upset by the tragic loss in a road traffic accident of Sophie Fletcher-Curran in Corsica and we extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends.
"Sophie was a valued member of our team in Corsica and was working for Mark Warner during her hospitality placement year from university."
It is understood members of Miss Fletcher-Curran's family are travelling to Corsica from their home in Northwich, Cheshire.
According to the news website Corsematin.com, Miss Fletcher-Curran was struck by a bus at 4pm on Thursday as she crossed the route nationale 198 at the exit south of Moriani-Plage.
It said she needed to cross the road to get from the chalet where she was staying to the San Luccianu hotel, where she worked.
The website said she was taken to hospital by helicopter but died from her injuries.
