Privates Andre Treble and Andrew Jones, both 22, fled Buckley Barracks, near Hullavington, Wiltshire, two weeks ago claiming the attacks - often referred to as "beastings" - were unbearable.
The men, of 9 Regiment RLC, absconded after Pte Treble claimed he was beaten by three soldiers who then ransacked his room.
They met with an Army welfare officer on Wednesday and told ITV Wales Tonight they would return to the barracks while an investigation into their allegations takes place.
Pte Jones said: "We don't want anything to do with the Army, but for it to be sorted out we have to go back, sit down with the officers and discuss where to go next."
Pte Treble added: "It isn't the first assault I've had. It needs to stop. There's people out there who won't say anything to anyone."
A spokesman for the MoD said it would be inappropriate to comment on what was said during private negotiations with the two men.
But he said: "We would encourage them to return. They made some allegations and those allegations are under investigation.
"If they wish to make further allegations, the right thing to do is return so those allegations can be fully investigated."
The spokesman said anyone found to fall short of the Army's high standards would be dealt with robustly.
