The Tory leader is visiting the country after he spent time earlier with British troops in neighbouring Afghanistan.

Pakistan has endured a chaotic few years, with widespread criticism of former President Pervez Musharraf's suppression of opponents.

However, since Mr Musharraf finally quit last month the state - a key ally in the West's fight against terrorism - has become embroiled in a bitter power struggle.

Mr Cameron is meeting several of the key players, and will deliver a keynote speech during his visit.
