DJ Kershaw jailed for three months

The sentence was passed at the High Bailiffs' Court in Douglas on the Isle of Man.
The 48-year-old BBC radio presenter had admitted breaking the order, which prevents him from seeing Juliette Banner, at an earlier hearing.
Miss Banner, the mother of his two children, described Kershaw as "menacing and provocative" when he approached her and her new partner, Glaswegian prison officer Jim Imrie, at Peel Breakwater on November 2 last year.
Rochdale-born Kershaw was given a three-month suspended jail term in October after admitting harassing Miss Banner - and ordered to stay away from her.
The BBC Radio 3 DJ, of Shore Road, Peel, also spent a week in prison last year for breaching bail conditions.
Passing sentence, High Bailiff Michael Moyle said Kershaw's life was turning into a "Greek tragedy". He added: "You seem hell-bent on destroying yourself and you do not seem to appreciate that the author of your destruction is yourself."
Mr Moyle told Kershaw that Miss Banner and Mr Imrie were "entitled to be protected from your unlawful activities". He continued: "I genuinely regret that you, by your actions, have brought this state of affairs to pass. I regret that I feel I have no obligation other than to impose custody."
Kershaw, dressed in blue jeans, a blue shirt and a wax jacket, was impassive as he stared out from the dock.
Nigel Cordwell, defending, had earlier told the court that Kershaw would accept any decision to imprison him "stoically". He added: "It is devastating to Mr Kershaw that he finds himself in this humiliating situation."
