Amin Hussain Ali, 20, and three boys aged 15 appeared at Dewsbury Magistrates' Court accused of murdering 17-year-old Amar, who died in Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, on Sunday.
The four have also been charged with robbery.
All four were remanded to appear before Leeds Crown Court on June 5.
Each of the defendants was led into court handcuffed to security guards.
They spoke only to confirm their names, ages, dates of birth and addresses.
Family and friends filled the public gallery to watch the brief hearing.
None of the accused showed any emotion as the charges were read out by the court clerk. No applications for bail were made.
Amar was found in the park's walled garden by two members of the public. A post-mortem examination showed he died of head injuries.
Three juveniles also arrested have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
