Officers were called to Downsell Road in Leyton, east London, at 5.25pm to reports of a man with a stab wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "We were called by the London Ambulance Service at 5.25pm to Downsell Road E15 following reports of a man suffering a stab wound."

"The 20-year-old man was treated by paramedics, however, he was later pronounced dead at the scene.

"Next of kin are not aware as yet. A post-mortem and formal identification have not taken place.

"Four people have been arrested and taken to east London police stations.

"We are keeping an open mind as to motive at this stage."
