Girl killed in river accident

The girl and two other people were airlifted to hospital in a remote area of forestry in Powys, mid Wales.
Inspector Robert Price of Dyfed-Powys Police said the incident happened in the Llyn Briane Reservoir area of the county.
He said: "A 4x4 overturned and came to rest in a river. Three people have been airlifted to Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth, two of them suffering from hypothermia. One casualty tragically died following arrival at the hospital."
Inspector Price said the force and RAF helicopters helped rescue the three as the incident happened in a remote area.
The officer added that flood water from the river had caused the vehicle to "lose its footing" and tip into the river.
Throughout Friday people across the UK were evacuated from their homes and rescued from their cars, and the promise of further deluges has raised the prospect of extensive flooding.
The number of flood warnings issued by the Environment Agency (EA) rose steadily throughout Friday and it warned that the threat of flooding was likely to increase as rainwater drained into river systems in the coming hours.
Wales and south-west England bore the brunt of the deluge, with heavy and persistent rainfall causing localised flooding. Severe weather warnings are in place across large swathes of the UK.
Last year flooding crippled parts of central and northern England.
