The finding, from post-mortem examinations of the body parts, was disclosed during a press conference at Leicestershire Police headquarters.
The head was found by a farmer on his land in Asfordby on Tuesday afternoon.
The arm was discovered on farmland in Wheathampstead on Sunday, a week after the leg was found in a holdall about 30-minutes drive away in Cottered.
The victim is thought to have been a white or Asian man, who was between 5ft 6in and 5ft 10in. His shoe size was believed to be between seven and nine.
He also had a skin condition which caused discoloration in his skin pigmentation around the ankle, giving a "bleaching" effect. The victim suffered from eczema which caused the skin to "scale", examinations found.
The head was discovered beside a makeshift cattle pen by farmer Tony Lomas in a field near woodland and a cemetery.
The left leg, with the foot attached, was discovered in a green holdall behind a hedgerow next to a lay-by on the A507 just outside Cottered on March 22. The arm, which had been dismembered at the elbow and wrist, was found by a member of the public on a verge in Drovers Lane in Wheathampstead.
Police believe the leg was dumped within two days of its discovery and are now trying to establish if the other body parts were left at around the same time.
More than 100 officers have been assigned to the case and police urged anyone with concerns about a missing person, based on the description given, to contact their local police station.
