Injured skipper and crew rescued

The helicopter from RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall rescued the skipper of the 13,000 tonne Horncliff after the RAF failed in force nine gales on Friday night.
A Falmouth coastguard spokesman said weather conditions had eased in the area south of Ireland.
The captain had suffered spinal injuries and internal bleeding in an accident. Two passengers were less seriously hurt - one with a broken hand and another with head injuries.
Three other walking wounded were also taken off the ship but it is not known if they are crew or passengers. The injured were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske and not Cork as previously planned.
A hospital spokeswoman said two of the casualties were on stretchers and the other four were walking wounded. "No-one is thought to be critically injured," she said.
The cargo ship was carrying bananas and other fruit from Costa Rica to Dover when it encountered a force 10 storm about 200 miles off southern Ireland on Friday. It lost about 90 containers.
It appeared those injured were trying to fasten the containers in the storm but the exact circumstances of what happened is still unknown.
Falmouth coastguard said that a warning had been given out to shipping in the south western approaches to be aware of the 90 containers.
"There is a danger from the containers but we don't know how many will sink or how many will float for a time," a spokesman said. "We also don't know where they will head. It's bit like putting a load of plastic ducks in the sea - they will go everywhere."
