Kercher witness 'heard scream'

A witness in the Meredith Kercher murder trial has told how she heard a scream that "made her skin crawl" the night the British student was stabbed to death.

Nara Capezzali, whose apartment in Perugia, Italy overlooks the one where Miss Kercher was killed in 2007, imitated the sound in court, adding that shortly after the scream, she heard the steps of at least two people running.

The body of Miss Kercher, 21, from Coulsdon, Surrey, was found in the bedroom of the flat she shared with American student Amanda Knox, 21, who is on trial for murder in Perugia along with former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 24.
