Laura case man 'to be extradited'

The pair turned up at the British Consulate in Lille on January 21, a week after Laura went missing from her Cleethorpes home with the 49-year old lorry driver she met on the internet.
Laura was returned to her parents, but Mr Williams was arrested and held in France pending the completion of extradition procedures.
A week ago he told magistrates in Douai, near Lille, that he wanted to go back home to give his side of the story, but extradition was delayed pending completion of formalities.
The UK requested his extradition after the two were recognised by staff at the British Consulate in Lille. By then it was known they had left the UK, thanks to CCTV images recorded at Dover ferry terminal and a sighting at Lille train station, where they were apparently begging after running out of money.
UK police have suggested that Laura might have been in touch with Mr Williams through the internet for up to six months.
She disappeared on January 14 after telling her parents she was going shopping. They alerted the police when Laura failed to return that night.
The pair were recorded on CCTV footage at Grimsby railway station the same evening.
They then made their way to Dover and crossed to Calais by ferry as foot passengers.
By the time they were intercepted, the UK police hunt had been joined by Interpol.
