Man arrested after couple shot

A man and woman were being treated in hospital after being shot in a rural village.

Lincolnshire Police arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder following the shooting at an address in Bluestone Heath Road, South Ormsby, at 8am on Saturday.

Both victims suffered shot gun injuries, police said.

The man sustained wounds to his face and was operated on at Boston's Pilgrim Hospital where his condition is described as stable.

The woman was treated at the same hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
