Man in court over window fall death

A man is due to appear in court charged with the murder of a woman who fell from the window of a town centre bedsit.

He is charged with murdering the 41-year-old, who was found outside a three-storey property in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, on Friday morning.

It is thought the woman, who has not yet been identified, fell about 20ft from the window of a flat at the address in Upper Holland Road, said a West Midlands Police spokesman.

A post-mortem examination revealed she died as a result of severe internal injuries.

The 66-year-old man accused of her murder will face Sutton Coldfield Magistrates' Court.
