Man questioned over Tenerife murder

The body of the victim, who had been stabbed, was discovered at an apartment in Los Cristianos, a resort town on the south of the island, according to Spanish media.

The Foreign Office has refused to disclose any details until the next of kin have been informed.

However, it is believed that the woman was originally from Belfast.

Unconfirmed reports said the man was arrested on Saturday after walking into a bar close to where the woman's body was discovered.
