Mandelson in 'good form' after op

Lord Mandelson, who is also the First Secretary of State, underwent the operation at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, west London, and will remain there overnight.
A spokesman for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) said the minister was awaiting confirmation from the surgeon but that "all the expectations" were that he had been suffering from an enlarged prostate gland.
Last week Lord Mandelson stood in for the Prime Minister while he was on holiday.
It is not the first time Lord Mandelson has received treatment at St Mary's Hospital.
In October 2008, shortly after sensationally rejoining the Cabinet, he was treated for kidney stones after being taken to the hospital complaining of abdominal pain.
The 55-year-old has no other reported history of medical problems.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown brought Lord Mandelson back to Westminster politics last year in a move which surprised many Westminster observers.
The former MP for Hartlepool had been serving as EU trade commissioner, having twice resigned as a minister under Tony Blair.
His profile has grown steadily since his return, culminating in him being given an expanded department and the title of First Secretary of State in Mr Brown's June reshuffle.
