Three men were involved in the dispute at Lister Mill Business Park in Plympton, Devon, after 3pm on Friday, which resulted in the pensioner suffering serious injuries.

He later died at Derriford Hospital, a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said.

The spokesman said: "The altercation may have concerned an argument over a parking space."

The man's condition deteriorated but police managed to interview him at his hospital bedside.

A 50-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested and taken for questioning at Charles Cross Police Station in nearby Plymouth.

The pensioner, from Beacon Park, Devon, died from his injuries in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A post mortem is due to take place later.

A police spokesman said it was "an isolated incident".

Plymouth-based London and Westcountry Estates Ltd, which owns and manages 28 business parks including Lister Mill, boasts on its website that a "particular attraction" to the park is the "excellent on-site parking".
