No one charged over Lubbock death

Essex CPS said in a statement it had advised Essex Police that no one should be charged over Mr Lubbock's death.
Barrymore and two other men, Justin Merritt and Jonathan Kenny, who were being questioned at Harlow Police Station, were released without charge.
Earlier, Barrymore, 55, was held in custody after answering bail. He was arrested in June by officers investigating the death of Mr Lubbock at the star's then home in Roydon, Essex, in March 2001.
Mr Lubbock was one of a number of guests at a party at Barrymore's home. Post-mortem tests showed he had suffered severe internal injuries, which suggested sexual assault. Ecstasy, cocaine and alcohol were found in his bloodstream.
A lengthy investigation was conducted but no one was charged with any offence in relation to Mr Lubbock's death. Barrymore accepted a police caution for drug offences. Essex Police reopened the investigation into Mr Lubbock's death last December after reviewing their first inquiry.
Barrymore left the police station without commenting. Outside the police station, Barrymore's solicitor, Henri Brandman, said: "Michael has not been charged with any offence. He has always protested his innocence in respect of the circumstances of the tragic death of Stuart Lubbock."
Police said the inquiry into Mr Lubbock's death would continue.
"This is not the end of the investigation," said Detective Chief Superintendent Gareth Wilson. "Stuart Lubbock received very serious injuries the night he died and the evidence arising from our current investigation suggests they occurred at the address in Roydon.
"We are disappointed that our latest inquiries have not provided the answers the police and Stuart's family are looking for. But we remain committed to finding out the truth."
