'No probe' of judge's bail decision

Baroness Scotland QC said there will be no inquiry by her office into the bail decision by Judge John Bevan.
The move leaves serious question marks over whether the judge will face any further scrutiny over his actions.
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and Office for Judicial Complaints (OJC) also said they would not conduct any inquiry.
The MoJ said it was an independent judicial decision, while the OJC said it can only investigate complaints about the behaviour of judges.
This is despite calls for an inquiry by shadow justice secretary Nick Herbert and Hemel Hempstead Conservative MP Mike Penning.
Their calls follow a decision to release Inspector Garry Weddell, 47, on bail before his trial on charges of strangling his wife and faking her suicide. He is thought to have shot himself in a field near a shooting club after killing his mother-in-law, Traute Maxfield, on Saturday.
The judge said on Monday that he could not remember the circumstances of the application and wanted to see court transcripts.
A spokesman for the Attorney General said: "There have been a number of reports in the media to the effect that the Attorney General, Baroness Scotland QC, will be inquiring into the circumstances in which Garry Weddell was granted bail at Luton Crown Court by His Honour Judge Bevan QC.
"The Attorney General has received a letter from Mike Penning and will respond to that letter, but to suggest that this amounts to an investigation would be inaccurate. This remains a matter for the judiciary."
